About the Role
Location: Black Rock, St. Michael
Pay: BBD $12–$16 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full-time; scheduled shifts within Tuesday–Saturday availability between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM
Yelluh Meat is looking for a reliable Cook to prepare our food to standard, including breadfruit roasted over a live wood fire.
We need someone who can own a station, work clean and fast, follow our recipes and handle the heat of a busy kitchen.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Building and tending the roast pit fire and roasting breadfruit and other items over an open wood fire
Preparing ingredients and dishes to recipe, portion and build-sheet specifications
Cooking to the correct temperatures and holding food at safe temperatures
Completing orders within ticket time standards
Following food-safety, hygiene and sanitation procedures
Keeping your station clean, organised and stocked
Receiving, weighing and grading breadfruit, and rejecting fruit below standard
Receiving deliveries and labelling, storing and rotating stock
Completing daily and weekly stock counts and key item trackers
Recording prep output and waste
Preparing, packaging and serving food for catering and events
Completing opening, prep and closing checklists
The Cook reports to the Kitchen Lead.
What We Are Looking For
You should have:
Professional kitchen experience
Comfort working around open fire, smoke and heat for a full shift
Working knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety and kitchen hygiene
The ability to perform simple maths and work with units and measures
The ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Reliable attendance and punctuality
A valid food handler certificate
Compensation
BBD $12–$16 per hour
Placement within the range will reflect experience and performance during the paid trial.
Staff meals and training are provided, with a path to Kitchen Lead as the company grows.

Finalists completing the paid trial will receive BBD $250.
