About the Role
We are looking to hire a service hostess/host who can warmly welcome and greet all guests on arrival and upon calling. Provide friendly, quick and helpful service that will WOW our guests and make them want to return again and again.
Who You Are
Our ideal candidate is
A strong communicator in standard English
Quick and accurate with numbers, money and operating a point-of-sale system
Calm and focused under pressure
Able to manage multiple systems and tasks and successfully meet deadlines
Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
Able to safely lift and easily manoeuvre trays, boxes, bags and equipment weighing up to 30 to 35 pounds.
What You'll Do
Your day-to-day goal is to help Yelluh Meat create an experience that makes guests repeatedly return.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Welcome and greet guests.
Inform guests of specials and menu changes.
Make recommendations that you genuinely feel will improve their meal enjoyment.
Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services.
Know all ingredients, cooking preparations and portion sizes for all items on current menus.
Take food and beverage orders from guests, and enter orders in our point-of-sale system with 100% accuracy.
Accept payment, process credit card charges, and other payment methods or make changes with 100% accuracy.
Relay orders to the kitchen in a timely manner.
Manage delivery orders, relay orders to delivery persons within 10 minutes, coordinate and dispatch deliveries, and communicate order/delivery updates to customers in a timely manner.
Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely manner.
Politely respond to, record and resolve guest complaints.
Thank guests for their visit or order and invite them to return or order again soon.
