About the Role

The Bookkeeper keeps the financial pulse of Yelluh Meat steady. This role manages the day-to-day accounting cycle—ensuring payroll, payables, and reporting are accurate and on time. You’ll maintain clean, real-time financials that help guide sound decisions and accountability across the business.

Responsibilities

Core Accounting & Reporting

  • Manage daily bookkeeping in QuickBooks, MarginEdge, and Revel POS.

  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor payments weekly.

  • Prepare weekly P&L drafts and highlight key cost variances.

  • Support VAT filings and maintain compliance with local regulations.

Payroll & AP/AR Management

  • Process weekly payroll accurately and on schedule.

  • Maintain vendor relationships and manage payables calendar.

  • Track accounts receivable for catering and event clients.

Financial Systems & Controls

  • Ensure clean journal entries and documentation.

  • Maintain organized digital records of invoices, receipts, and reports.

  • Collaborate with Directors to monitor budget and cash flow.

Results

  • Payroll completed by Wednesday EOD each week.

  • Bank reconciliations and AP updated weekly.

  • Weekly P&L ready by E+3 (three days after week end).

  • Zero payroll or vendor payment errors per month.

  • 100% documentation compliance for audit and VAT.

Requirements

  • Experienced in bookkeeping (3+ years, QuickBooks or similar).

  • Obsessed with deadlines and details.

  • Able to spot trends in numbers, not just enter them.

  • Independent, professional, and reliable.
