Who You Are

Formal culinary training from a recognized institution or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience as a, Kitchen Manager, Head Chef or similar leadership role in a reputable establishment.
Strong knowledge of different cuisines, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment.
Ability to manage and lead a team, fostering a positive working environment.
Excellent time management and multitasking skills, essential for managing kitchen operations.
Deep understanding of ingredients, produce, and culinary techniques.
Effective communication skills to liaise with suppliers, staff, and other departments.
Proficiency in using kitchen software for inventory, costing, and menu planning.
Passion for culinary arts and a commitment to continuous learning and growth.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
What You'll Do
Your day-to-day goal is to help Yelluh Meat deliver high-quality, crave-worthy food on time.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Oversee and ensure consistency in food preparation, presentation, and quality according to the restaurant's recipes and standards.
Design, create, and get approval for all menu items, while ensuring recipes, build sheets, and photographs are available for staff clarity.
Make key decisions pertaining to hiring, evaluation, training, and termination of kitchen staff, ensuring that department rules, policies, and procedures are communicated effectively.
Oversee daily operations and proactively fill in where needed to meet guest service standards.
Create and prepare all essential paperwork precisely and promptly.
Continually assess and revise dishes based on customer feedback and sales data.
Execute strategies to control food costs, ensuring they align within 0.5% of the target budget.
Maintain inventory turnover between 4 to 6 times a month and ensure adherence to budget during ordering.
Work closely with the Catering Manager to curate specialized menus for events and catering.
Train and ensure kitchen staff follows the best practices in cleanliness, sanitation, safe equipment operation, and food storage.
Monitor and maintain optimal food holding and refrigeration temperature controls.
Schedule labor according to business demands and manage labor costs within 0.5% of the targeted budget.
Lead and inspire the team, fostering a cooperative and harmonious work environment.
Perform any additional tasks or follow directives provided by management.
